Vaidya M. Prasad is a native of the central district of Thrissur Kerala. After his BAMS (1996) from Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda College, Ollur, Thrissur and Post-Graduation (2002) in Salakya Tanthra from Govt. Ayurveda College Thiruvananthapuram, he started working as a specialist in Sitaram Ayurveda Speciality Hospital Thrissur for 4 years; and later in 2006 along with his wife Vaidya Sheniya Varma, established their own Ayurvedashram and Research Centre named SUNETHRI in their home district Thrissur.
He has 25 years of clinical and 17 years of teaching experience. Vaidya Prasad served as the Principal and Superintendent of Ashtamgam Ayurveda Chikitsalayam and Vidyapeedham for 5 years (2015-2020). Parallel to the regular classes in an Ayurveda college during early nineties, he learned the Principles and Practice of Ayurveda under the legendary Acharya Padmabhushan Vaidyabhushanam K. Raghavan Thirumulpad, which he continued for 21 years and got trained in clinical ayurveda under Padmasree Dr. K. Rajagopalan. He loves to explore the possibilities of informal ayurvedic learning and teaching and is engaged regularly in conducting learning programmes called Sameekshas. This year he is appointed as GURU for the CRAV program by Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeedh, New Delhi.
